The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo follows the life story of Hollywood icon, Evelyn Hugo.
It is written in an interview/time jump style which I thought brought a lot of character to the book. It showed the character development in an incredible way, almost like Evelyn was reflecting on her old self.
The characters were incredible, they weren’t perfect, and that was the point. They all made mistakes and grew making the story so entertaining.
You might have heard that this book is very sad but I felt like it was a nice ending to the story and was expecting a part of what happened. What I was not expecting was the plot twist at the end. I literally had to go back to make sure what I read was in fact true. I hope there is a sequel about Monique’s life after the events of this book.
I recommend this book to absolutely everyone, it was truly life changing for me.
