I am trying to get more into classics and I had watched the movie of Pride and Prejudice, so I decided to read the book as well.
This book follows Elizabeth Bennet and her relationship with Mr. Darcy. Overall, I thought this book was super fun. The character of Elizabeth was extremely likeable, adventurous and unique.
I also quite liked Mr. Darcy and felt that he had good intentions, just couldn't express them in the correct way. I didn't like her two younger sisters and her mom and viewed them to be immature and pushy at times.
Since they were not the main focus, it didn't annoy me too much but they did appear quite a lot in the story. Since this book is a classic, some of the phrases and words used aren't as commonly used today which caused me some confusion.
I decided to read it along with an audiobook which was very helpful. I rated this 5/5 and would definitely recommend. The movie was entertaining as well and great to watch before to have an idea on what the book will be about or after.
